GIVE EDUCATION TO THE YOUTH, GIVE THEM HOPE

Education serves as the means to bring about the desired change in society, to develop a generation of virtuous individuals and thus contribute to the development of good human beings. The fundamental purpose of education is to gain knowledge, inculcate the forms of proper conduct and acquire technical competency. Education serves as the means to develop oneself physically, mentally and socially. The importance of education to youths manifests itself in terms of the need to cultivate the youths of society into mature individuals. Education is important for the youths, as youth is their growing stage. It is the time to develop the principles of life, make career decisions and begin the pursuit of one's goals.

Education to the youths should consist of the training that is an extension to their fields of interest. The education should help the youths define their career objectives, decide what they want from life and enable them to achieve success in their fields of interest. Education to youths must aim at helping an individual form a skill set and work upon it to develop expertise in the areas of his/her interest. The education for youths should consist of courses that can help the youths with their careers and aims of life.

Education to the youths should open doors for new opportunities in various fields. It should help the youths find avenues to pursue their likes. It should enable them venture into new fields and explore new areas. Education must help the youths realize their goals. When we give education to the youths, we give them hope. Take an initiative of hope. Give education. Give HOPE.

WELCOME TO OASIS OF HOPE INITIATIVE

Welcome to Oasis of Hope Initiative,

Hi and welcome to the Oasis of Hope Initiative. This is an initiative that hopes to give hope to hundreds and hundreds of young people through provision of conducive learning environment. The most unfortunate thing in the world today is that provision of education is limited to the moneyed. It is a great injustice to see that majority of young people remain fixed to untold poverty since they cannot free themselves from that cycle by accessing education.

Oasis of Hope Initiative is a chance to compliment the noble undertakings meant to educate the less fortunate in the society. This we undertake through:

v Payment of school fees to needy pupils and students in basic and secondary levels.

v Guiding and counseling pupils and students on career choice.

v Motivating pupils and students to nurture positive thinking towards learning.

v Providing learning and related materials to pupils and students.

Oh, Just a Minute

Have you ever undervalued education? Did you once think learning is wastage of time? You were wrong. Education is the only opportunity that frees one from modern-day slavery. No one can underestimate the power of knowledge. This knowledge is boosted through learning. Without education, there would be no doctors, lawyers, engineers, drivers, hairdressers, teachers, pastors and many others. There would be no schools, hospitals, airports, buildings, trains, airplanes and so many things. In fact, there would be no life!

Give us a hand

Americans are famed for many things. However, this American saying holds the honors. ‘I am because you are and you are because I am.’ What’s more than this? We cannot change the dimension of life, but something little that we can do for someone can leave an imprint in the person forever.

We hope to give hope. We hope to empower the less fortunate through education. The Chinese talk of providing fishing skills and tools to the hungry instead of providing fish. This is why we reach a positive dimension in others through education. If you believe in our cause, please give us a hand and let’s empower others through education.
